Baked Beans
Ingredients:
3
cans (15 ½ oz. each) great northern beans (pinto beans as substitute), drained
and rinsed

hot dogs, sliced
1
½ cups ketchup
½
cup packed brown sugar
2
tbsp. molasses
1
medium onion, chopped
½
tsp. ground mustard
¼
tsp. salt
¼
tsp. pepper
4 slices of
bacon chopped and partially cooked
Directions:
In an
ungreased 2 qt. baking dish, combine all ingredients. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 1 – 1 ½
hours or until heated through.
Chili Beans
Ingredients:
1 - 15.25 oz. can of Kidney Beans, drained
1 - 15.25 oz. can of Pinto Beans, drained
1 - 15.25 oz can of Black Beans, drained
2 lbs. ground beef
3 - 15 oz. cans tomato sauce
1-14 1/2 oz can stewed or diced tomatoes
6 tsp cumin, divided
8 tsp chili powder, divided
2 cloves garlic, divided
1/3 cup Honey
Directions:
Everything can be done in one large pot.
Sauté half the chopped onion and 1 clove of Garlic in the large pot. Add ground beef, 2 tsps. cumin, 2 tsps. chili powder to sauteed onions and cook until meat is browned. Drain oils out of meat mixture. Add tomato sauce, stewed or diced tomatoes, all 3 cans of beans drained, 4 tsps. of cumin and 6 tsps. of chili powder, 1 clove garlic and honey. cook all the way through. At the last minute add second half of chopped onion. Finish cooking until hot and tender, then taste; add more cumin and chili powder if desired.
